Climate tech network Greentech Alliance has acquired Intermobility, a European transport and mobility network hosting over a thousand companies and public authorities. This merger creates a combined ecosystem of more than 5,000 members across 25 countries on six continents. The primary goal is to unite investors, startups, and policymakers in the transport sector, which remains one of Europe's hardest industries to decarbonize.

According to the European Environment Agency, the transport sector accounted for about 31 percent of the European Union's total emissions, rising 25.3 percent above 1990 levels in 2023. Meanwhile, investments in European mobility startups have shown a downward trend. In 2025, these ventures closed 654 funding rounds, compared to 785 in the previous year, raising a total of $10.1bn in private funding.

The acquisition aims to address this investment gap by connecting capital with mobility solutions from pilot stages to full scale. Through this deal, startups will gain international access to customers and funds, while investors can discover new mobility ventures. The two organizations will also explore joint ventures and financing projects under the Climate Zero programs. Moving forward, Intermobility founder François Hoehlinger will join the Greentech Alliance board of directors.
