Corrections policy
When we get something wrong we correct it and say so visibly.
How we correct
When a factual error (a name, number, date, attribution or relationship) is found in a published story, the text is corrected and a dated “Correction” note is published below the article. Corrections are made in both languages.
Minor fixes that do not change meaning, such as spelling or punctuation, may be made without a separate note. A story that is fundamentally wrong may be unpublished.
Every edit is stored as a revision and recorded in the newsroom audit log.
Reporting an error
If you spot an error, write to the address on our contact page with a link to the story. Reports are reviewed; this draft makes no commitment about response times.
Copyright and takedown requests go to the same address and are assessed separately.
