German mixed reality software startup VUSE XR has secured 1.2 million euros in a pre-seed funding round led by the Düsseldorf-based business angel network IACD, alongside other angel investors. Founded by Niclas Matthias and Dr. Paul Matthias, the company focuses on building the VUSE XR Hub, an enterprise software platform that enables industrial and life sciences organizations to create, manage, and deploy mixed reality training programs.

Historically, mixed reality training experiences have been developed as customized, standalone projects. This conventional method makes content creation expensive and slow, restricting the scalability of training across various locations and products. VUSE XR addresses this limitation by utilizing existing CAD models and engineering data to generate photorealistic 3D environments. Companies can build interactive training modules using artificial intelligence tools, simple text prompts, and drag-and-drop interfaces without needing on-site physical equipment.

Once finalized, these training sequences are accessible via web browsers, mobile devices, and mixed reality headsets. Co-founder and CEO Niclas Matthias notes that content creation remains the primary barrier to broader enterprise adoption of mixed reality, an obstacle their platform is designed to eliminate. The startup, which already serves clients such as ZEISS and Hologic, plans to use the fresh capital to enhance its AI-assisted content creation features and accelerate its commercial expansion.
